The Penicillin. Today you can find my next cocktail post over at The Boys Club. Every post thus far has been an original libation, a combination of my favourite flavours and ingredients. But this time I was so intrigued by a cocktail that has made a name for itself in recent years, I just had to see what all the fuss was about. It was everything and more.
The Penicillin is a wonderful, smoky and aromatic cocktail featuring both blended scotch and single malt. It’s a modern masterpiece. It takes scotch out of the old boys bars where scotch is poured neat and men chomp on cigars. And now, scotch has a cocktail that will surely go down with some of the classics.
I’ll leave you with a few photos, but head over to The Boys Club for the recipe, additional photos and the entire story behind this cocktail.
Michael.
